Bukhara hosts the Third International Festival of Gold Embroidery and Jewelry Art
The Third International Festival of Gold Embroidery and Jewelry Art has begun in Bukhara, an ancient and eternal city long known as a center of science, culture, and craftsmanship.
The festival opened with the ceremonial “Caravan of Wonders” procession. Participants in national costumes, folklore groups, artisans, and performers once again showcased Bukhara’s rich culture. National melodies, songs, and dances that filled the streets of the ancient city gave the festival a special charm.
Performances by Republican folklore groups, exhibitions and sales of national handicraft products, and presentations of samples of folk and applied art are taking place in the old part of Bukhara. The harmony of national traditions and modern style in gold-embroidered and jewelry items is drawing particular interest.
The festival program is rich and diverse. It features performances by folklore ensembles and puppet theaters, masterclasses, and shows of national and modern clothing as part of Fashion Days in Bukhara 2026.
More than 120 foreign guests from 38 countries across Africa, Europe, Asia, North America, and the Pacific are participating in the festival. They include representatives of international media, art historians, designers, and specialists in the field of crafts. More than 300 local artisans from different regions of the country are showcasing their creative works.
