Exhibition on art at the court of the Emir of Bukhara to open at the Hermitage in Saint Petersburg
On June 5, the State Hermitage Museum will open the exhibition “Opening the Palace Chambers: Art at the Court of the Emir of Bukhara”, organized by the Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation in collaboration with the Hermitage.
According to the Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation, the exhibition is organized by the Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation in collaboration with the State Hermitage Museum as part of the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum 2026.
The exhibition will feature 67 museum items from the collections of the Bukhara State Museum-Reserve, the State Museum of Arts of Uzbekistan, the State Museum of Applied Arts and History of Handicrafts of Uzbekistan, the State Museum of the Temurids History, and the State Hermitage Museum. It will showcase decorative and applied art, jewelry, and items of palace life that reveal the artistic culture of the Bukhara Emirate and the traditions of palace life in Central Asia.
The exhibition will be open to visitors from June 5 through October 4, 2026.
