An international conference dedicated to Amir Temur and the Timurid era held in Budapest
An international scientific and practical conference dedicated to the personality of Amir Temur and the Timurid era was held for the first time in the capital of Hungary.
The event, titled “The development of science and literature in the era of Amir Temur and the Timurids”, was organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Hungary jointly with the Research Centre for the Humanities of Eötvös Loránd University as part of the broad celebration of the 690th anniversary of the birth of the great statesman, commander and patron of science, culture and art, Amir Temur.
The conference became Hungary’s first major international academic forum dedicated to the history and scientific and cultural heritage of the Timurids, bringing together leading Uzbek and Hungarian historians, orientalists, literary scholars, and researchers.
During the conference, special attention was paid to the growing interest among Hungarian academic circles in studying the history and culture of Uzbekistan and Central Asia, as well as to the strengthening of scientific and academic cooperation between the two countries.
The parties also reaffirmed their readiness to expand scientific cooperation, implement joint research projects, and promote the rich historical and cultural heritage of the Timurid era internationally.
