Multilateral cooperation discussed
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the Republic of Uzbekistan Ahmed Farooq visited the Senate of the Oliy Majlis.
During a conversation with the Ambassador, Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbayeva noted the Ambassador’s fruitful work over the past three years and his valuable contribution to strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries.

It was emphasized that cooperation between Uzbekistan and Pakistan is steadily developing, and thanks to the political will of the heads of state, bilateral relations have reached a new level.
Special attention was paid to ensuring the practical implementation of the agreements reached, intensifying interparliamentary cooperation, improving the effectiveness of interparliamentary cooperation groups’ activities, and expanding interregional contacts.
The importance of strengthening cooperation between the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center, the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, and scientific institutions in Pakistan was noted.
Prospects for developing trade, economic, and investment cooperation, as well as cultural and humanitarian ties, were also discussed.
The Chairperson of the Senate invited the Pakistani delegation to actively participate in the 12th Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians and the 3rd Global Forum on the Sustainable Development Goals, which are jointly organized in Samarkand with the Inter-Parliamentary Union.
