A delegation led by the Chairman of the Committee for Industrial, Radiation and Nuclear Safety under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan visits Russia.

The Chairman of the Committee, A. Rafikov, met with the Head of the Federal Service for Environmental, Technological, and Nuclear Supervision, A. Trembitsky.

The parties exchanged experiences on the tasks and powers of regulatory authorities in industrial, radiation, and nuclear safety. The sides also discussed cooperation areas.

The delegation will get acquainted with several organizations’ activities and take a technical tour of the Kalinin NPP.

Cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia is carried out within the framework of an agreement aimed at regulating nuclear and radiation safety in the peaceful use of atomic energy.

Following the meeting, it was decided to develop a Joint Action Plan for 2025-2026.
