Uzbekistan delegation studies Russia’s advanced nuclear industry experience
During a working visit to the Russian Federation, Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Achilbay Ramatov led a delegation that held several important meetings.
According to Uzatom Agency, the delegation met in Voronezh with Governor Alexander Gusev, local authorities, and representatives from Russia’s nuclear industry. They discussed developing effective cooperation between government bodies and nuclear enterprises, advancing the industry’s overall growth, and implementing major infrastructure projects.

The visit program also featured a tour of the Novovoronezh Nuclear Power Plant. The delegation met with Rosenergoatom’s leadership and the plant’s administration, gaining insight into the operation of modern Generation 3+ power units, advanced safety measures, and key production processes.
Following the visit, a working meeting was held in Moscow with Andrey Petrov, First Deputy Director General of the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom and President of Atomstroyexport JSC.

The parties discussed the key tasks for the nuclear power plant project in Uzbekistan. To ensure smooth construction and timely implementation, they agreed to hold regular meetings of the operational headquarters.
