Agricultural cooperation expands
A meeting was held in Tashkent between the Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Alisher Shukurov, and representatives of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy of the Republic of Korea and the Korea Association of Machinery Industry (KOAMI).
The parties reviewed the current results and promising areas of cooperation between the two countries in the digitalization of agriculture and the introduction of modern technologies.
In particular, the sides considered the results of training programs held in the Republic of Korea in June this year as part of the Smart Agriculture Industrial Technology Innovation Center project.

It was noted that during the training sessions, Uzbekistan specialists mastered advanced methods for the effective use of digital technologies, IT solutions and Smart Farm systems in smart greenhouses. The parties paid particular attention to improving these training programs and strengthening their practical focus.
At the meeting, it was announced that training seminars involving Korean scientists would be held in August and September this year. Specialists will exchange knowledge and experience in producing components for smart greenhouses, as well as processing and applying laboratory data in practice.

In addition, 30,000 seedlings of the well-known Korean Seolhyang strawberry variety will be supplied in August to experimental greenhouse farms established under the project in various regions.
Following the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to expand innovative cooperation in agriculture and effectively implement promising joint projects.
