Cooperation between the ombudspersons of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan strengthens
Feruza Eshmatova, Authorized Person of the Oliy Majlis for Human Rights (Ombudsperson), is on a working visit to Bishkek to participate in a Consultative Meeting of the National Human Rights Institutions of the SCO Member States.
Ms. Eshmatova met with Dzhamilia Dzhamanbaeva, Akyikatchy (Ombudsperson) of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The parties highlighted the importance of strengthening collaboration between their national human rights institutions as the friendship, trust, and strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan deepen.

The sides discussed ways to enhance operational cooperation in managing citizens’ appeals, sharing information, and protecting human rights.
Following the meeting, a protocol was signed to add an addendum to the Cooperation Memorandum between the ombudspersons of both countries, established in 2022.
