Memory is eternal, reverence is sacred

Termez hosted a festive event.

It was attended by Surkhandarya region’s Hokim, Ulugbek Qosimov, representatives of state and public organizations, law enforcement agencies, military personnel, labor veterans, youth, and the general public.

The participants laid flowers at the monument to the Grieving Mother, honoring the memory of compatriots who died in the Second World War and of the heroes who gave their lives for the peace and tranquility of the Motherland during the years of independence.

Labor front veterans and representatives of the older generation shared their childhood and youth memories, the difficulties they had experienced, and noted the need to protect a peaceful and prosperous life.

The solemn event became a symbol of the people’s deep respect for the memory of their courageous and selfless ancestors.
