War heroes commemorated in Tashkent region
In accordance with the Presidential resolution, large-scale spiritual-enlightenment events are also being held in Tashkent region under the motto “Duty, courage, perseverance!”
Representatives of the public, state and public organizations, universities, the older generation and youth, led by Tashkent region’s Hokim Zoyir Mirzayev, laid flowers at the Ode to Fortitude Memorial Complex in Nurafshan and paid tribute to the victims’ memory.

Honoring the memory of those who died during the Second World War, as well as those who gave their lives for the Motherland’s independence, and showing respect and care for war and labor veterans living among us are the highest human values. Their life paths are a school of courage and patriotism for young people.

A guard of honor was lined up on the majestic square, and a military band played the national anthem.
The people still remember the grave consequences of the Second World War. More than 200,000 people left the region for the front, and about 40,000 did not return from the war.

The veterans gathered at the memorial complex offered prayers for peace in Uzbekistan and for people’s well-being. After the ceremony, a festive table was set for them.
