Japanese investments to be attracted to Uzbekistan’s IT sector
The Ministry of Digital Technologies hosted a meeting with representatives of Japan’s ITOCHU Corporation.
The meeting focused on attracting investment to Uzbekistan’s IT sector and expanding cooperation.

Negotiations were held regarding the company’s ability to provide BPO and KPO services to the aviation industry in Uzbekistan as an IT Park resident.
It was noted that favorable conditions have been created in Uzbekistan for foreign companies. Today, in the IT park, where more than 3,500 residents are registered, about 1,000 companies operate with foreign capital. Over the past year, 27 Japanese companies have received this status.

The importance of the signed Memorandum of Understanding was highlighted at the meeting.
The participants were also informed about the benefits of Data Centers and AI projects in Karakalpakstan. Japanese companies were invited as investors.
Following the meeting, representatives of ITOCHU Corporation praised the open business environment in Uzbekistan and expressed their readiness to cooperate with the Ministry and the IT Park in future public-private partnership projects.
