Today, preliminary freestyle wrestling competitions in five weight categories will take place as part of the U20 Asian Wrestling Championships in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.

Yesterday, the winners and medalists in women’s wrestling were determined within the championship program.

As a result, members of the Uzbekistan national team earned four bronze medals in the women’s wrestling competitions: Nilufar Nurmuhammadova in the -50 kg weight category, Nigina Sobirova in -62 kg, Mukhayyo Narzilloyeva in -65 kg, and Sevinchoy Polvonova in -76 kg.

The Indian team led the points table in the women’s division, while the Uzbek wrestlers ranked among the top five strongest teams.

The freestyle wrestling competitions will continue until July 13.
