The 32nd Summer World University Games in Germany concluded successfully for Uzbekistan’s taekwondo team and began on a strong note for judokas.

In both individual and team events in taekwondo WT, Uzbekistan athletes won 1 silver and 4 bronze medals. In the mixed team event, Uzbekistan national team defeated Egypt in the final match, securing the gold medal.

In judo, Laziza Haydarova earned a bronze medal in the under 48 kg weight category after defeating Paulina Szlachta of Poland in the third-place bout.

In the judo competition, Uzbekistan’s Shukurjon Aminova will compete for the bronze medal in the under-57 kg category against Italy’s Giulia Carnà.

To date, the Uzbekistan national team has won a total of 13 medals, comprising 3 gold, 4 silver, and 6 bronze.
