Uzbekistan’s pilgrims are taking part in the parliamentary elections in Mecca
For the first time in history, a mobile polling station has been organized for compatriots performing the Umrah rite in the holy city of Mecca.
This allows Uzbekistan citizens to exercise their constitutional rights and participate in elections abroad. Voting takes place at the Ayyam Elite Hotel. The polling station will be open until 20:00 local time.
The votes collected at the polling station will be sent to the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Jeddah for registration in the general election procedure.
Despite the distance, the compatriots expressed gratitude for the opportunity to fulfill their civic duty and noted the importance of organizing conditions for participation in the elections abroad.
