Uzbekistan delegation meets with the leadership of the Hungarian Parliament
During the IPU Global Conference of Women Parliamentarians in Belgrade, the delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, led by the Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Tanzila Narbayeva, met with the leadership of the National Assembly of Hungary.
Issues related to developing a strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Hungary, expanding interparliamentary cooperation, and the practical implementation of agreements reached at the highest level were discussed.
Speaker of the Hungarian National Assembly Ágnes Forsthoffer emphasized the close attention the Government of Uzbekistan pays to the consistent development of bilateral relations. She stressed that cooperation between Uzbekistan and Hungary is strengthening dynamically across all areas. It was also noted that the Hungarian side considers parliamentary diplomacy as a key tool for deepening interstate relations and strengthening mutual trust between peoples. The Hungarian side expressed its readiness to intensify the interparliamentary dialogue and cooperation with Uzbekistan.

The Chairperson of the Senate, Tanzila Narbayeva, noted that thanks to the open and trusting dialogue between the leaders of the two countries, relations between Uzbekistan and Hungary have reached a qualitatively new level in recent years. Interparliamentary cooperation plays a key role in implementing agreements reached at the level of heads of state.
Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their mutual interest in expanding interparliamentary ties and strengthening their institutional framework. An agreement was reached to ensure the effective operation of parliamentary friendship groups once the new compositions of the two countries’ parliaments are formed.
