As part of her official visit to Budapest, the Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbayeva met with the President of Hungary Tamás Sulyok.

During the conversation, it was noted that cooperation between the two countries has significantly increased in recent years, and friendly relations have reached the level of a strategic partnership.

It was emphasized that the shared historical and cultural values of the peoples of the two countries are becoming essential for the development of interstate relations.

The parties also focused on expanding economic cooperation.

During the dialogue, it was noted that 2026 has been declared the Year of Culture, Science, and Innovation between Uzbekistan and Hungary. The parties also exchanged views on holding several major events on this occasion.

The importance of strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation and implementing agreements reached at the highest level was emphasized.
