An event was organized on Uzbekistan’s mining industry and geological potential as part of the International Forum “Lithium Days 2023” in Germany’s Halle.

According to the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Germany, the country took part in this forum as a partner country in 2023.

Companies specializing in lithium production, international experts, business representatives, investors, and scientists from research institutes were invited to the event organized jointly with the Ministry of Mining and Geology of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Berlin, as well as the German Lithium Institute and the Papenburg GmbH.

As noted, the consistent reforms carried out by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the country’s mineral resources, and the created conditions for foreign investors play an important role in developing this industry.

The presentation of the Director for Central Asia of the Eastern Committee of the German Economy, Eduard Kinsbruner, held within the framework of the forum, was aimed at familiarizing German investors and representatives of the business community with the economic potential of Uzbekistan and areas of cooperation.

Initial talks were held between the geology experts of the two countries, and agreements were reached on the implementation of projects in geology.
