The delegation led by the Secretary-General of the Shura Council of the Parliament of Bahrain, Kareema Mohammed AlAbbasi, visited the Senate of the Oliy Majlis as a part of the 150th IPU Assembly.

The possibilities of expanding inter-parliamentary ties, including the creation of friendship groups and regular cooperation at the level of committees and parliamentary offices of the two countries, were discussed at the meeting with the Chief Staff of the Senate of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Qudrat Nurullayev.

The parties expressed their intention to exchange experience in lawmaking and strengthen parliamentary control over the implementation of bilateral agreements.

Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness to develop interparliamentary cooperation aimed at strengthening friendship between the peoples of the two countries.
