Uzbekistan and China strengthen cooperation on technical regulation
A meeting took place in China between representatives of the Uzbek Agency for Technical Regulation and the Henan Province Association for Metrology, Certification, Inspection and Testing, where they signed an agreement on strategic cooperation.
The document provides for expanding cooperation between Uzbekistan and China in technical regulation, metrology, conformity assessment, testing, and certification.

Under the agreement, plans include establishing a committee (association) on trade, economic, and technical issues in Central Asia, setting up joint ventures and modern testing laboratories, and cooperating on the training and professional development of specialists in the field. The agreement also provides for exchanging experience in certifying products and services and in developing, implementing, and applying standards.
One of the priority areas of cooperation is establishing modern testing laboratories in Uzbekistan. These laboratories will enable comprehensive assessments of the quality and safety of manufactured products using advanced technologies and methods, as well as verification of their compliance with international standards.

During the meeting, the parties agreed to collaborate on joint projects across various sectors, including automotive, chemical industry, consumer goods, construction materials, infrastructure, and furniture manufacturing.
Digital solutions using artificial intelligence technologies implemented in Henan Province were also showcased. These solutions streamline control and inspection processes, enhance data processing, diminish the influence of human factors, and improve the quality of managerial decisions.
The agreements will help products made in Uzbekistan meet international standards, broaden export opportunities, and increase the competitiveness of local producers abroad.
