Uzbekhydroenergo and China Huaneng Group sign a Memorandum of Cooperation

At the Fifth Tashkent International Forum, Uzbekhydroenergo JSC and China Huaneng Group signed a memorandum to implement major hydropower projects provided for by the Presidential resolution “On Urgent Measures for the Further Development of the Hydropower Sector” dated May 1, 2026.

Representatives of the Chinese side highly appreciated the large-scale reforms in Uzbekistan’s energy sector and expressed great interest in the prospects for hydropower development in the country.
