Nurafshon Youth Theater Studio took part in the 10th Sabah International Youth Folk Dance Festival in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah state.

Nurafshon Youth Theater Studio took part in the 10th Sabah International Youth Folk Dance Festival in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah state. More than 20 song and dance groups from Uzbekistan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, Singapore, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand attended the festival.

Performances of the Uzbek group covered various areas of musical art, traditional maqom, Khorezm dance “Lazgi” and “Andijan Polka”, thus demonstrating the diversity and beauty of Uzbek culture, its traditions and customs.

In the final part of the event, a popular folk song in Malay was performed with young talents of Uzbekistan.

At the event, guests were shown videos about the tourism potential and cultural and historical heritage of Uzbekistan.

Following the event, the group won a victory in two nominations: “The Best Male Dance Performance” and “The Most Promising Group”.
