The Festival of State Ballet Schools of the Turkic World is being held for the second time in Ankara, Türkiye. The event is organized to preserve the shared cultural heritage of Turkic nations and pass it on to future generations. As part of the festival, a conference was also held with the participation of artists and cultural figures from Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan.

At the opening ceremony, Sayit Yusuf, Deputy Secretary General of the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TÜRKSOY), emphasized that partnership in performing arts such as dance and choreography contributes to artistic expression and a broader civilizational path.

The event was also attended by Professor Shukhrat Tokhtasimov, Rector of the State Academy of Choreography of Uzbekistan.

Representatives from the arts sectors of Turkic states presented the work of their institutions and exchanged views on potential joint projects.

As part of the Festival of State Ballet Schools of the Turkic World held in Ankara, a “Night of Contemporary and Folk Dance” was also staged. That evening, talented students from the leading ballet and choreography schools of Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan took to the stage of the concert hall at Ankara State Conservatory under Hacettepe University.

Blending the vibrant traditions of folk dance with contemporary expressive techniques, the performers created unique and compelling stage compositions.
