Uzbek national cuisine has found its place in the recently released book “Global Culinary Stories” in Thailand. The author is Kathleen Pokrud, an international affairs consultant for “Elite+” magazine. The book contains articles on national cuisines, and information is provided by 45 foreign diplomatic missions in Thailand.
The Consul General of Uzbekistan in Thailand, Fakhriddin Sultanov, shared the rich heritage of Uzbek cuisine, which has been formed over three millennia. He talked about iconic dishes such as Uzbek pilaf, manti, samsa and shared authentic recipes.
At the event, with the participation of representatives of the diplomatic corps and public and private sectors of Thailand, it was proposed to taste Uzbek dishes, including pilaf, samsa, and traditional sweets.
The inclusion of Uzbek culinary traditions in the “Global Culinary Stories” is designed to promote the popularization of Uzbek cuisine in the international arena and strengthen intercultural dialogue between peoples.
