On May 26, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, received Antonio Fernandez Arimany, President of World Triathlon, who is visiting the country for the Triathlon and Paratriathlon World Cup held in the city of Samarkand.

Further expansion of practical cooperation with this prestigious global sports organization in promoting triathlon and supporting Uzbekistan’s national triathlon school was addressed at the meeting.

The active development of triathlon in Uzbekistan was noted with satisfaction. A national federation is operating, international competitions are held regularly, and Uzbekistan athletes are strengthening their positions in continental and global rankings.

Special attention was given to advancing cooperation, implementing expert support programs for training athletes, coaches, referees, and sports managers, and developing modern infrastructure.
