On the sidelines of the latest meeting of the Foreign Investors Council, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, held a meeting with a delegation of the United Arab Emirates led by the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, Suhail Al Mazrouei.

Representatives of Amea Power, Etihad Water & Electricity, TAQA Water Solutions, AD Ports, and Masdar attended the meeting.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister conveyed the sincere greetings and best wishes of the UAE President, Sheikh Mohamed Al Nahyan, the Prime Minister, the Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed Al Maktoum, Vice President Sheikh Mansour Al Nahyan, and the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Khaled Al Nahyan, to the President of Uzbekistan.

The parties discussed the practical implementation of the agreements reached during President Uzbekistan’s visit to the UAE in January this year.

The dynamic development of the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and the UAE was noted with deep satisfaction. Trade and investment volumes, as the number of joint ventures and the frequency of direct flights, are increasing.

The project portfolio with leading UAE companies has exceeded $20 billion. As part of the Fourth Tashkent Investment Forum, several new agreements were signed with UAE companies.

An agreement was reached to accelerate the advancement of significant projects in energy, transport, logistics, agriculture, healthcare, education, urban development, water supply, and other areas.
