New areas of investment cooperation between Uzbekistan and the UAE discussed
A roundtable titled “UAE – Uzbekistan: connecting capital with opportunities” was held in Abu Dhabi as part of the Investopia Bridge 2026 international forum. Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade Laziz Kudratov, and several UAE officials attended the event.
The participants discussed expanding economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and the United Arab Emirates, implementing new investment projects, and strengthening ties between the business communities of both countries.

Energy, digital infrastructure and telecommunications, artificial intelligence, finance, the chemical industry, agriculture and food security, tourism, transportation and logistics, and real estate were identified as promising areas for cooperation.
Representatives from major UAE companies and financial institutions attended the talks, including Ghitha Holding, Rotana Hotel Management Corporation, Mashreq Bank, Masdar, AMEA Power, Modon, and Etihad Development Company.
As part of his working visit, Laziz Kudratov met with UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Investment Mohamed Hassan Alsuwaidi, and Minister of Foreign Trade Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, as well as executives from several major companies.
The participants discussed ways to improve the institutional mechanisms for cooperation between the two countries. The parties agreed to intensify the work of the Intergovernmental Commission and the Business Council, focusing their efforts on developing and implementing specific investment and business projects.
