As part of the meeting of the Foreign Investors Council, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, received a delegation of major companies of Saudi Arabia led by the Co-Chairman of the Uzbekistan – Saudi Arabia Business Council, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ACWA Power, Mohammad Abunayyan.

Senior executives of Vision Invest and Riyadh Cables also attended the meeting.

The parties discussed issues related to expanding practical cooperation with Saudi Arabian businesses and accelerating priority projects in Uzbekistan.

The fruitful partnership with ACWA Power and other Saudi companies was noted with satisfaction.

The current portfolio of joint projects has reached $24 billion. Projects in green energy are being successfully implemented, including the launch of green hydrogen production in Tashkent region.

The importance of advancing projects to modernize the power grid, develop the electrical engineering industry, and promote cooperation in information technology, transportation, public utilities, and other sectors was emphasized.
