President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić, who is in Uzbekistan on an official visit at the invitation of the President of Uzbekistan, visited the Ministry of Digital Technologies. Minister Sherzod Shermatov and other officials warmly welcomed the distinguished guest.

At the beginning of the official meeting, a video presentation was shown on the Ministry’s activities, the country’s digitalization processes, and large-scale projects implemented under the Digital Uzbekistan 2030 Strategy. The achieved results in improving the “E-Government” system, developing IT education, ensuring information security, and expanding digital infrastructure were demonstrated.

President Aleksandar Vučić noted the active digital transformation in our country and the consistency of state policy and initiatives in this field. The importance of exchanging experience between Serbia and Uzbekistan, establishing joint technology parks, and organizing exchange programs for young specialists was also emphasized.

The guests were introduced to IT Park’s activities, including digital service centers, the mechanisms of the “E-Government” system, and the conditions created for young programmers.

This meeting will help elevate bilateral relations in the political, economic, and humanitarian spheres to a new level, and cooperation in digital technologies will undoubtedly become a strong link in the modern partnership between the two states.
