International dialogue in the IT sector

A delegation led by Adrijana Mesarović, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia, Minister of Economy, visited IT Park Uzbekistan.

The guests were presented with a briefing on IT Park’s activities, including the country’s technology hub ecosystem, ongoing reforms to develop the information technology sector, the conditions created for residents, tax and infrastructure incentives, and efforts to increase the volume of export-oriented IT services. Mechanisms for supporting startup projects and areas of international cooperation were also presented.

The delegation became closely familiar with the activities of the UzSOC cybersecurity center, including its capabilities to ensure information security, protect government institutions and strategic infrastructure from cyberattacks, and implement rapid response systems.

At the UZINFOCOM center, presentations were delivered on the development and maintenance of state information systems and on e-government infrastructure.

During a meeting with Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov, discussions focused on digital transformation, the introduction of information and communication technologies in public administration and economic sectors, the development of data centers, and the creation of artificial intelligence and language models.

The Serbian side provided information on ongoing efforts to expand the capacity of data centers and supercomputers. Readiness was expressed to increase investment in information and communication technologies, the digitalization of public services, and the implementation of innovative solutions and software products.

During the negotiations, particular attention was paid to developing the startup ecosystem, expanding innovation centers, and organizing joint business forums.
