At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of the Republic of Finland Alexander Stubb arrived in Uzbekistan on an official visit on October 29.

The distinguished guest was welcomed at Tashkent International Airport by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khojayev and other officials.

According to the visit program, high-level talks will be held in Tashkent to discuss pressing issues related to expanding the multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and Finland, particularly in the political, trade-economic, investment, and cultural-humanitarian spheres.

Special attention will be given to increasing mutual trade volumes and establishing cooperation in agriculture, ecology, chemistry, energy, digitalization, mining, and other innovative sectors.

The parties will also discuss cooperation in labor migration, culture, and the introduction of advanced technologies into the education system.

Views will be exchanged on issues of international significance, including mutual support within multilateral organizations.
