The Monument of Independence stands as a symbol of freedom and the enduring foundations of our state.
It reflects the centuries-long history of our nation’s statehood and represents our great scholars and military leaders. Atop the monument is the figure of the proud Humo bird with outstretched wings, symbolizing peace and freedom, kindness and prosperity.
The President of the Republic of Bulgaria, Rumen Radev, who is paying an official visit to Uzbekistan at the invitation of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, visited the New Uzbekistan Park.
The distinguished guest was accompanied by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Abdulla Aripov. The President of Bulgaria laid flowers at the Monument of Independence and then learned about the park’s history. He was briefed on the great scholars, outstanding commanders, and Jadid ancestors depicted on the monument.
Members of the delegation paid special attention to the unique conceptual and architectural design of the New Uzbekistan complex. It was noted that the park’s territory harmoniously combines well-maintained green areas with seasonal flowers, rare trees, a musical fountain, and an open-air amphitheater.
The main events of the visit are scheduled for today. According to the program, negotiations between the two countries’ leaders will take place, along with official and business events, culminating in signing a package of bilateral agreements.
The President of Bulgaria, Rumen Radev, will also participate in the 4th Tashkent International Investment Forum.
