The Uzbekneftegaz reports that an international conference on digitalization, industrial safety, and procurement in the energy sector is taking place in Baku.

As part of the conference, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, met with the heads of the region’s largest oil and gas companies. 

At the meeting, the dynamic development of strategic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan was highlighted, with special attention given to expanding the range of joint projects in the energy sector.

It was noted that multilateral cooperation holds strategic importance for implementing joint production and technological solutions. Special attention should be given to preventing and mitigating technological accidents and ensuring industrial safety in the energy sector. 

As part of the international conference, several important agreements were signed on digitalization, industrial safety, and the prevention of technological accidents in the oil and gas industry. 

These agreements will contribute to companies’ adoption of advanced technologies and the development of cooperation in the sector.
