The Minister of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Coordinator of the 43rd term of the Permanent Council of TURKSOY, Ozodbek Nazarbekov, as part of an official visit to Türkiye, visited the General Secretariat of TURKSOY in Ankara.
The Minister of Culture was received by the Secretary General of TURKSOY, Sultan Raev. Ozodbek Nazarbekov met with representatives and staff of the organization’s member states working at the General Secretariat and viewed a photo exhibition dedicated to Uzbekistan's cultural and historical heritage, traditions, and values. During the bilateral meeting, he emphasized the special role of TURKSOY in strengthening friendly relations among fraternal peoples who share a common history, language, and religion, customs and traditions, dreams and aspirations, and placed particular focus on the implementation of large-scale cultural and humanitarian programs aimed at ensuring the spiritual unity of Turkic peoples, preserving and developing values, studying and promoting historical heritage, as well as perpetuating the memory of our great ancestors.

The Secretary General of TURKSOY, Sultan Raev, warmly welcoming the guest, noted that in recent years, at the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, special attention has been paid to the development of culture and the arts in Uzbekistan, and that cooperation within the framework of TURKSOY’s activities has reached a new level.

He highly praised the fact that prestigious international events, forums, and festivals dedicated to culture and the arts are regularly held in Uzbekistan at a high level, and that representatives of our country actively participate in art festivals, exhibitions, scientific and educational events, and international conferences organized within the framework of the organization and devoted to the development of Turkic languages and literature. He emphasized that the appointment of an official representative of Uzbekistan to the General Secretariat of TURKSOY is of great importance for strengthening cooperation.
