
From April 30 to May 1, the ISRS delegation led by First Deputy Director Akramjon Nematov visited Dushanbe to participate in a regional conference on “Integration of Central Asian countries amid contemporary global changes”.
As part of the visit, a series of meetings were held with the leadership of the Center for Strategic Research under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Institute of Studying the Problems of Asian and European Countries of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, the Center for Geopolitical Studies of the Russian-Tajik (Slavonic) University and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan.
During the conversations, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of regional cooperation. It was noted that Central Asia has now entered a qualitatively new stage of development. Thanks to coordinated actions, the region’s countries have built a new model of interstate cooperation, ensured the progressive development of multilateral partnership, and strengthened Central Asia’s role as a responsible and predictable subject of international relations.
Particular emphasis was placed on maintaining sustainable dynamics of regional rapprochement processes through further strengthening political dialogue, filling the economic agenda with practical content, and expanding cultural and humanitarian ties.
During the discussions, the parties exchanged views on further deepening expert dialogue.
Readiness was expressed to expand scientific ties, implement joint research projects, and organize events on current issues of the bilateral and regional agenda.
