Chairman of the Tourism Committee Umid Shadiyev met with the U.S. Ambassador to Uzbekistan Jonathan Henick and discussed prospects for enhancing cooperation in tourism.

Mutual trade relations between Uzbekistan and the United States cover many areas, including transport and communications, pharmaceuticals, automotive, light industry, agriculture, and electrical engineering.

The Ambassador noted that tourism in Uzbekistan has been developing widely in recent years. He focused on the possibilities of MICE tourism.

The parties considered proposals for the development of green tourism and personnel training.
