The opening ceremony of a new educational bachelor’s program “Information Technologies and Entrepreneurship”, which is the result of cooperation between Tashkent State University of Economics and Turku University of Applied Sciences (Finland), has taken place today via videoconference.

The event, organized by the Honorary Consulate of Finland in Uzbekistan and the Finest Future company, launched a major project for the development of information and communication technologies and entrepreneurship in Uzbekistan.

The peculiarity of the project lies in the fact that students will be trained in this program in a 1+3 format. That is, the first year of study will take place in Uzbekistan, and the next three in Finland. Graduates will have the opportunity to work in Finland’s companies, and they will practice in large IT companies and startups in Finland.

The project will be supported by an innovative entrepreneur in Europe, Peter Vesterbacka.
