A meeting took place with the participation of Tashkent City Hokimiyat, the city administration of the Agency for Vocational Education, and the UK’s Pearson Company.
Issues related to the implementation of international educational programs in Tashkent technical schools and the issuance of special BTEC diplomas to students, which confirm mastery of professional skills and are recognized in more than 70 countries worldwide, were discussed at the meeting. The possibilities for creating employment conditions abroad were also considered.
It should be noted that earlier, a government resolution approved the Regulation on the remuneration of technical schools’ employees, which includes international educational programs.
According to the regulation, a monthly 100 percent surcharge is paid from the state budget to the salaries of technical school employees involved in teaching international educational programs, set in addition to the tariff rate in the staffing and billing process when preparing annual cost estimates.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on implementing educational programs in 9 areas across 20 technical schools in Tashkent that meet international standards.
