The State Museum of Applied Arts and the History of Handicrafts of Uzbekistan, together with the State Museum of Timurids History, organized a spiritual and enlightenment event on “Sahibkiran Amir Timur – the Founder of the Timurid Renaissance”, dedicated to the great ancestor’s birth.
The participants discussed the role and significance of Amir Timur’s contribution to world civilization.

It was noted that during the lifetime of Amir Timur, a special essay was written on public administration, known as “The Code of Timur”. This valuable historical source describes the biography of Sahibkiran and the events associated with his life, the views of our outstanding statesman and commander on the art of war, the organization and government of the country. This is a valuable set of laws, from which it is clear based on which Amir Timur created a centralized powerful state.

Having created a huge power, Amir Timur prepared the conditions for the economic and cultural development of the country. The age-old traditions of past eras were revived in a new historical context. As Mawarannahr becomes the center of trade, economy and culture of the Near and Middle East, such ancient cities as Samarkand, Kesh, Bukhara, Termez, Tashkent, Merv and others began to be improved.
At the event, a photo exhibition was organized on “Masterpieces of the Timurids era”.
