Tashkent hosts an event on “Regional energy reforms: strengthening regulatory practices”.

The event, organized in cooperation between the Agency for the Development and Regulation of the Energy Market of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Asian Development Bank, is attended by domestic and foreign experts and representatives of international financial organizations.

The opening ceremony was attended by the Director of the Agency for the Development and Regulation of the Energy Market of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sherzod Khodjayev, the ADB Country Director for Uzbekistan Kanokpan Lao-Araya, ERRA Presidium Member Dietmar Preinstorfer and others.

They informed about the reforms implemented in the energy market regulation, which focus on studying international experience and strengthening cooperation.

At the event, the participants discussed the basics of regulatory reform, energy market dynamics, the transition to sustainable energy, digitalization, and innovation.

Tomorrow, the event participants will continue the discussion.
