Projects worth $12 billion are considered at TIIF 2026
As part of the 5th Tashkent International Investment Forum (TIIF), the Minister of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jurabek Mirzamakhmudov met with the Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of ACWA Power Mohammad Abunayyan.
The parties reviewed progress in implementing $12 billion in energy projects, exchanged views on preparing feasibility studies for promising new projects, and discussed establishing mechanisms for their financing and implementation. Special attention was paid to ensuring the sustainability of the national energy system, diversifying the energy balance and expanding the use of advanced technological solutions. It was emphasized that the accelerated development of renewable energy projects is one of the most important factors in strengthening the country’s energy security.
The importance of promptly resolving organizational and infrastructure issues to improve the effectiveness of ongoing projects was noted. The work on settling land issues within the framework of projects implemented in Nurabad district of Samarkand region was highly appreciated.
Following the meeting, agreements were reached to accelerate financing for investment projects, accelerate construction, and expand cooperation with the State Unitary Enterprise National Dispatch Center in the management of commissioned power plants.
