In the Italian region of Reggio Emilia, an agreement was signed to implement an investment project to produce thermal insulation materials based on the deep processing of basalt raw materials in Chust district of Namangan region.

The signing took place with the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in this country and the administration of Namangan region.

The project is planned to be jointly implemented by the joint venture Eco Basalt and the Italian company Gamma Meccanica S.p.A.

Implementing the project will also make it possible to supply greenhouse farms with basalt fiber insulation materials for agricultural production and yield improvement.

As part of the project, it is planned to replace imported thermal insulation products in Uzbekistan and supply high-quality products to both domestic and foreign markets.
