The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in the city of Khankendi.

The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, welcomed the Leader of Uzbekistan.

The heads of state visited and became familiar with the operations of a joint textile factory.

The Presidents inaugurated the factory in November 2024 during their meeting on the sidelines of the UN Climate Summit in Baku.

The textile factory covers an area of 1.2 hectares, with a total investment value of $6.2 million. A total of 800 jobs will be created.

The factory plans to produce between 3 to 5 million units of knitwear annually. The finished products will be supplied to both the domestic market and for export.
