President of Uzbekistan receives U.S. Special Envoy for South and Central Asia
As part of his visit to Bishkek, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received U.S. Special Envoy for South and Central Asia Sergio Gor.
Sergio Gor extended his sincere congratulations on Uzbekistan’s 35th anniversary of state independence and conveyed greetings and best wishes from U.S. President Donald Trump to the President of Uzbekistan.


Issues of strengthening the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and the United States and the practical implementation of agreements reached at the highest level were discussed.
The positive dynamics of political dialogue, interparliamentary and interregional contacts, and the consistent expansion of trade, economic, and investment cooperation were noted with satisfaction.


The importance of advancing joint projects and initiatives in priority areas, including energy, transportation, critical minerals, digital technologies, artificial intelligence, agriculture, and other sectors, was emphasized.
Particular attention was paid to thorough preparations for the upcoming events in the C5+1 format and for the next meeting of the Uzbekistan – U.S. Business and Investment Council.
