The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a United States delegation led by the U.S. Special Envoy for South and Central Asia Sergio Gor.

The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau and other officials from the American side.

The further development of the Uzbekistan – American strategic partnership in the context of the implementation of the agreements reached at the highest level in New York on September 23 of this year was discussed.

Sergio Gor conveyed to the President of Uzbekistan the sincere greetings and warm wishes of U.S. President Donald Trump.

The intensive political dialogue, exchanges at various levels, and active business contacts were noted with satisfaction. Trade volumes continue to grow. In early October, a U.S. Chamber of Commerce mission successfully visited Uzbekistan.

The importance of advancing projects in industry, finance, critical minerals, energy, digitalization, agriculture, and other priority areas, as outlined in the adopted roadmap, was emphasized.

The parties also discussed strengthening security cooperation, combating terrorism and extremism, and illegal migration.

Views were exchanged on current aspects of the global and regional agenda.

The schedule of upcoming events was also considered, including as part of the “C5+1” summit, which will take place next week in Washington.
