On October 27-28 this year, the ancient and ever-young city of Samarkand will host the 14th UNESCO Youth Forum, which unites young people from around the world.

This major international event, dedicated to the theme “Climate Action and Social Impacts, Particularly for Young People”, is being organized in cooperation between UNESCO and the Government of Uzbekistan.

The purpose of the conference is to support youth’s active participation in combating climate change, promote their initiatives and ideas on a global scale, and jointly shape a sustainable future.

In this regard, the President of UNESCO’s 43rd General Conference, Khondker M. Talha, arrived in Uzbekistan and was welcomed by the Director of the Youth Affairs Agency, Senator Alisher Sadullayev.
