Number of tourists visiting Uzbekistan from Japan rises nearly 1.5-fold

In January-September 2026, the number of tourists visiting Uzbekistan from Japan reached more than 36,600, nearly 1.5 times the figure recorded during the same period in 2025.

These figures are more than just statistics. They reflect the strengthening of cultural and economic ties between the two countries.

Several factors have contributed to this growth, including the establishment of regular direct flights between the two capitals, the active promotion of Uzbekistan as a tourist destination at the prestigious Tourism EXPO Japan exhibition in Tokyo, and special familiarization tours organized across Uzbekistan for major Japanese tour operators.
