
As part of the ongoing 150th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in the capital, the Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, Nuriddin Ismoilov, met with a delegation led by Numan Kurtulmuş, Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of the Republic of Türkiye.
Numan Kurtulmuş praised Uzbekistan’s balanced, open, and constructive foreign policy, as well as the large-scale reforms and socio-economic transformations carried out in recent years under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. He expressed Türkiye’s readiness to utilize all available opportunities to elevate inter-parliamentary relations to a new level.
The Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye noted that this prestigious event in Tashkent reflects the high international recognition of the large-scale reforms and democratic renewal underway in Uzbekistan. He emphasized that the Assembly is a unique platform for exchanging experiences and strengthening ties between parliaments.

“Uzbekistan is the homeland of our ancestors. The fact that this event is being held in your country is significant. Thanks to the wise policy pursued by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Uzbekistan is rapidly advancing in all directions. We witness large-scale changes and tremendous constructive progress with each of our visits. Türkiye values and will always support the ties of cooperation, brotherhood, and friendship with Uzbekistan”, Numan Kurtulmuş said.

The meeting also included discussions on the prospects for developing inter-parliamentary cooperation between Uzbekistan and Türkiye.
