Azerbaijan’s Shusha hosted the traditional International Chess Tournament “Vugar Gashimov Memorial 2024”.

Uzbekistan’s Nodirbek Abdusattorov fought for the victory at this prestigious tournament, organized for the tenth time, along with 8 grandmasters.

According to the results of the rapid and blitz competitions, Ian Nepomniachtchi from Russia, who scored 19 points, competing under the FIDE flag, became the winner of the international tournament in memory of Vugar Gashimov.

Uzbekistan’s Nodirbek Abdusattorov was recognized as the best in both types and took second place with 18 points.

It should be noted that Nodirbek Abdusattorov won these prestigious competitions in 2022.
