The Prague International Chess Festival 2026 begins in the Czech Republic today.

The competitions will be held in the Masters, Challengers, and Futures groups.  In the Masters group, Uzbekistan’s Nodirbek Abdusattorov and Nodirbek Yakubboyev will compete for the victory along with renowned chess players Vincent Keymer (Germany), Gukesh Dommaraju (India), Parham Maghsoodloo (Iran), Jorden van Foreest (Netherlands), Aravindh Chithambaram (India), David Anton (Spain), Hans Niemann (USA), and David Navara (Czech Republic).

According to the draw’s results, Nodirbek Abdusattorov will play black against Aravindh Chithambaram in the first round, and Nodirbek Yakubboyev will also play black against David Anton.

At the 2024 tournament, N. Abdusattorov won, and N. Yakubboyev took first place in the Challengers group at the 2025 competition.

The tournament, consisting of nine rounds, will run until March 6.
