New modern cogeneration units are planned for construction in Tashkent
A significant investment initiative is underway to upgrade Tashkent’s energy infrastructure, aiming to provide a reliable supply of electricity and heat to residents and industrial facilities.
In this regard, a trilateral memorandum has been signed between Toshkent Issiqlik Markazi LLC, the German financial institution DZ BANK AG Deutsche Zentral-Genossenschaftsbank, and Uzbekenergotamir JSC.
According to the document, modern cogeneration units with a production capacity of 20 MW of electricity and 18.5 Gcal of thermal energy per hour will be built at heating plants No. 1 and No. 3.
As a result, natural gas consumption will decline, creating opportunities for more efficient use of energy resources.
